Hey guys, after posting my first blog I've pretty much neglected my blogger.. But now I'm back for the New Year! And hopefully I'll get used to making regular posts soon.
Soooo, for my second post I'll be sharing my review of Clinque's latest foundation, Stay-Matte. Because of the fact I suffer from Eczema and so therefore have quite sensitive skin, I've always felt safer using Clinque's products over any other brand as all of their products are allergy tested and 100% fragrance free. Stay-Matte foundation comes in 17 different shades, and I was very pleased to find a perfect match with the 23 Ginger shade (no more having to mix foundations!).
Clinque claims that this foundation provides all day coverage with a mattifying finish and feels as comfortable as wearing nothing at all. And I'd have to say the I totally agree! I hate wearing makeup and actually feeling like I have makeup on. I like my face to feel free and natural, not heavy and suffocated. This foundation gave me that free feeling whilst also providing sufficient coverage. I also found that the matte finish helped to control shine, without giving me a dull grey complexion. I'd recommend applying it with a brush, but only because I despise people who apply liquid foundations with fingers or sponges (seriously, always use a brush!), and its always great to use a primer with foundations, I'd recommend Benefit's Porefession (it's only right seeing as I do work for them - YES I got the job!). The only downside to this product is that after a full day of wear, my skin was left feeling a tad bit dry, but I should point this is the middle of winter.
